Welcome to my creative space. I’m Doaah Albatat, a Melbourne-based artist with a lifelong connection to the world of visual storytelling.
Art has always been an essential part of who I am. Long before I formally trained, I was drawing, creating, and sharing my work, often donating pieces to fundraisers and showcasing them at special events. It was a quiet but constant companion through every stage of life.
In 2021, I took the next step in my artistic evolution by joining the Milan Art Mastery Program. This course gave me the technical foundation, mentorship, and global artistic community to refine my practice and elevate my voice as a professional artist, even after graduating.
This journey was about more than just technique, it paralleled some of the most significant transitions in my life. I became a mother during the program, navigated the ongoing impacts of the pandemic, and moved homes more than once. Despite the shifts around me, one thing remained unwavering: my commitment to art. My studio has always been a sacred space dedicated solely to creative artwork where I continue growing.
My artistic style is intuitive, emotive, and layered. I work primarily in oil, acrylic, and mixed media, often incorporating gold leaf and textured elements. My themes explore multiculturalism, identity, and healing, drawing inspiration from nature, lived experience, and the world around me.
